This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Barış Kaya (“we,” “our,” or “Service Provider”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (“User,” “you”) of the CatModoro: Pomodoro & Focus mobile application (“Application”) and related services.
1. Data Controller Information
Barış Kaya acts as the Data Controller responsible for the processing of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
a. Information You Provide Directly:
- Account Information: When signing in via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we collect your email address, display name, and unique user identifier (UID) to authenticate your account and sync your progress.
- User Preferences & Gameplay Data: Pomodoro session statistics, PomoCoin balances, room customizations, and focus logs.
b. Information Collected Automatically:
- Device & Diagnostics: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, and application crash reports.
- Purchase Information: Transaction history and subscription entitlements processed via RevenueCat (we do not collect or store your payment card details; payments are handled directly by Apple or Google).
- Advertising & Identifiers: If you use the ad-supported version, advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) may be processed by our advertising partners.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a Contract: To deliver core features, sync study rooms, and maintain subscription perks.
- Legitimate Interests: To improve application performance, detect bugs, and prevent timer exploits.
- Consent: For personalized advertising and optional third-party integrations where applicable.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.

We partner with external service providers to facilitate functionality, analytics, crash reporting, and monetization. These third parties may collect information used to identify your device in accordance with their respective privacy policies:

The Application does NOT collect, request, or monitor precise real-time GPS location information from your mobile device.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- Retention: We retain your account information and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the services.
- In-App Deletion: You can instantly delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the Application at any time by navigating to: Profile > Delete Account.
- Manual Deletion Request: You may also request account and personal data erasure by contacting us at catmodoro@proton.me. Upon verification, your data will be permanently purged from our servers within 30 days.
7. Children’s Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
The Application is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at catmodoro@proton.me, and we will take immediate steps to delete such data.

We implement appropriate technical, administrative, and physical security measures to safeguard your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
